VEGETABLE SHOWCASE DINNER: TOMATO

To define summer could be to simply take a bite out of a tomato right off the vine, still warm from the sun. Then do that over and over again with the over 80 varieties of tomatoes in a riot of colors, a myriad of sizes and a multitude of shapes, and that would be summer at The Chef’s Garden.

Tomato dishes at CVI have run the gamut from remarkably complex creations of more than 16 different textures on a plate to the audacity of presenting one single, perfect whole tomato on a board with a knife, fork and bowl of salt. That is the beauty of the tomato.

Doors open at 6:30 pm. Dinner begins at 7:00 pm.
