James Beard Award Winner Adrian Miller Cooks and Signs
Adrian Miller will be at Grandview Yard Market District for a cooking demonstration, book signing and meet & greet.
A self-described “recovering lawyer and politico,” Miller served as a Special Assistant to President Bill Clinton and the Deputy Director of the President’s Initiative for One America. After spending time in his native Colorado working for former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr., Miller embraced his new career as food writer, culinary historian and certified barbecue judge. His first book received immediate acclaim, winning the James Beard Foundation Award for Scholarship and Reference in 2014. His second book, released February 20, 2017, has been nominated for a 2018 NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Literary Work—Non-Fiction.”
Miller also travels the country speaking on topics including: chicken and waffles, hot sauce, kosher soul food, soda pop, and soul food.
